{"id":746,"date":"2021-11-26T11:12:17","date_gmt":"2021-11-26T10:12:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/support.plugandtrack.com\/?post_type=ht_kb&#038;p=746"},"modified":"2026-04-16T09:56:24","modified_gmt":"2026-04-16T07:56:24","slug":"calibration","status":"publish","type":"ht_kb","link":"https:\/\/support.plugandtrack.com\/en\/thermotrack-webserve-en\/use-of-thermotrack-webserve\/calibration\/","title":{"rendered":"How do I calibrate sensors?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>The calibration function integrated into Thermotrack-Webserve allows you to adjust your sensor values based on the discrepancies observed in a calibration certificate.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Thermotrack-Webserve will automatically correct the values using three possible methods:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Calibration with <strong>quadratic correction<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>If you performed a three-point calibration, you can choose a quadratic or second-degree polynomial correction (<i>ax<sup>2<\/sup><\/i>\u00a0+\u00a0<i>bx<\/i> + c = 0).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Calibration with <strong>linear correction<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>If you performed a two-point or more (up to 5) calibration, you can choose a linear correction (first-degree polynomial or <i>ax<\/i>\u00a0+\u00a0<i>b<\/i> = 0).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Calibration by <strong>Offset<\/strong> correction\n<ul>\n<li>If the calibration certificate was done at a single point, all the sensor values will be corrected by the difference observed between the reference and the sensor.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Entering calibration values<\/h2>\n<p>There are two methods to enter values into Thermotrack-Webserve:<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Automatic method<\/strong>:<\/h3>\n<p>You can directly upload a calibration certificate in PDF format. Thermotrack-Webserve will automatically read the information from the certificate, filling in the calibration data, as well as the correction and uncertainty values. Additionally, the PDF certificate can be archived online for easy access and traceability.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Manual method<\/strong>:<\/h3>\n<p>You can also manually input the values by following the steps described in this section.
