When opening the software, you get the following message “You have not plugged your reader” and the software opens in demo version while your adapter is connected to your computer via USB.
There are two reasons why this message may appear :
- A defective button is plugged into the reader causing the USB adapter to short-circuit.
- The drivers are not installed.
The first thing to do is to remove the button from the reader if there is one. If the message is still present you can reinstall the drivers.
The drivers are located in C:\Program Files (x86)\Proges-Plus\Thermotrack\V8\ax\drivers
There is a 32bit directory for 32bit versions of Windows and a 64bit directory for 64bit versions. If you don’t know which drivers to install, start with the 64bit drivers, you will get an incompatibility message if your version of Windows is 32bit.
